WHO WE ARE
Homegrown Taproom & Marketplace is a restaurant and craft beer mecca. Homegrown means that we source products from farmers, growers, artisans, and brewers in and around Nashville and the Southeast as much as possible. Homegrown also means that our menu of munchies, soups, salads, and sandwiches are a salute to your favorite home-cooked meals that your momma made, but better (sorry ma!). Our “Homies” appreciate high-quality craft beers and ciders, fresh and local food, and supporting the local economy. They love our laid back, warm, and friendly “Cheers-like” atmosphere.
Homegrown isn’t just a name, it’s what we do!
Homegrown owners, Robin Davis and Jennifer Starks, are long-time residents of Donelson. They recognized the need for a neighborhood hangout that offered a wide variety of high-quality craft beers and food that goes beyond your typical pub fare. As supporters of all things local, they created the Homegrown Marketplace to support the sale of locally-made products like meat, cheese, and honey. They are fun-loving locavores who frequent eating and drinking establishments around Nashville building relationships with local artisans, farmers, and brewers in order to bring the goodness to the people of Donelson.
A Kentucky girl, and former sales and marketing rep for Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese, Jennifer has a deep appreciation for community, local food, and craft beer. She is a Certified Beer Server through the Cicerone program and is consistently praised for her attention to quality and variety when it comes to curating Homegrown’s beer selection. She manages the daily operations and doesn’t forget a face or a name. Chances are you’re already friends with her if you’ve been to Homegrown more than once.
Robin gets her entrepreneurial spirit honestly. Her grandparents owned and operated a small-town grocery store for nearly three decades.Music brought her to Nashville (shocker!) but the day job proved more fruitful and more in-line with her talents. She launched a successful sales consulting firm in 2009 and manages the business side of things for Homegrown. She’s proud that Homegrown has played a part in making Donelson a place where people want to live and work.
